‘Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity?’ It’s tuning into the Steam Summer Sale every day and expecting you won’t spend money. Without much more fanfare than that, here are the Pixel Enemy tips and recommendations for Day 4.

I’d strongly recommend three games out of today’s deals. First, if you’ve never played Portal 2, this is your golden chance. The game’s up for sale for a meager $5, a real bargain price. It’s an award-winning puzzle platform title that’ll have you scratching your head.
My second recommendation is Hitman: Absolution. While the game didn’t win critical acclaim, it’s worth more than $6.24, which is its current sale price. If you’re a fan of the previous Hitman games, you’ll probably enjoy this one, too.
Last but not least, Capcom’s recent title Remember Me is priced at $29.99, which, in my opinion, is worth picking up. The game is a hidden gem which a lot of critics have overlooked, but I’m currently playing it and quite surprised by how much fun I’m having with it. I know I’m not the only one either. Having read quite a few user reviews before making my purchase, it seems that a lot of people thoroughly enjoyed the title.

Day four of the Steam Summer Sale brings with it some nifty little bargains. The first highlight for me would be Fallout: New Vegas. New Vegas was a step forward from the stellar Fallout 3. It featured a vast open-world, hours of gameplay, and also has Matthew Perry voicing the bad guy…enough said.
If you haven’t been able to play Portal 2 yet then definitely pick it up for $5. It’s one of the funniest games I’ve ever played. It has fantastic voice acting and some awesome puzzles. Also, I would recommend checking out Portal as well. You can grab both games for $6.24, what a deal!
System Shock 2 is also on sale for $5. For those of you who might not know, System Shock 2 is the spiritual predecessor to the BioShock series. Created by Ken Levine and Irrational Games, it tells a super creepy story, plays well, and has one of the first great “twists” in gaming. Definitely check it out.
Finally, in the community choice poll for today I would recommend voting on Gunpoint. It’s an indie stealth-puzzle platformer. It’s a lot of fun and will really make you think during it’s later puzzles. It’s an absolute steal at $6.00.

As always, I agree with my esteemed colleagues above, and while most people will probably have Portal 2 by now (I mean, they give it to schools for free!) it’s still worth picking up and gifting it to someone if you actually know someone who doesn’t have it. The co-op play is outstanding and a hell of a lot of fun if you haven’t tried it – go hard mode and do it without Skyping or chatting over Steam – I dare ya.
I’m also going out on a limb here and say The Sims 3 is a great title to pick up for it’s replay factor, ridiculous amount of additional content, and because it’s just damn fun to play in an easy relaxed environment. Caution: It’s addictive as hell too. Great deal at $14.99, and to close it up, I’ll 100% with agree with Espo on Fallout: New Vegas - awesome game and follow up to Fallout 3.

Vote Gunpoint!
(Tyler doesn’t have to say much to hit the nail on the proverbial head y’all.)

The fourth day of the sales doesn’t bring much in the way of interesting games for me. You should definitely pick up Portal 2 and Arma 2 (Combined Operations) as they are on some good deals and if you’ve been wanting to play both of these games they are a massive steal at the price.
Portal 2 followed on where the first game picked up and for the price it is at its worth picking up just for the single-player campaign, let alone the newly added multiplayer elements.
Arma 2 (and Combined Operations etc.) are also on deal and Arma is a military sim with plenty of customization, vehicles and weapons to choose from. This game is obviously well known for its DayZ mod and I paid £15 for this, it is a massive steal at just £5. There is plenty to do in the way of multiplayer and you can even blast through the single player campaign if you want as well.
Tune in tomorrow for the next installment of the Pixel Enemy Guide to the Steam Summer Sale.
